Glen Reiss

Glen grew up on a working farm just northwest of Connell, Washington, where hard work wasn’t optional, it was a way of life. From a young age, he helped with irrigation, harvesting crops, tending cattle through the winter, and keeping equipment running. Those early years taught him responsibility, problem-solving, and the value of doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.

Living in a rural area also meant learning to be self-reliant. Glen began fixing farm equipment, motorcycles, and old pickups as a kid—often with limited tools and parts—developing a natural mechanical ability and a mindset of making what you have work. That hands-on experience laid the foundation for a lifelong career in mechanical repair. After high school, Glen explored different paths, including construction and roofing in the Seattle area, where his work ethic helped him thrive. Over time, his passion for mechanical work led him into the automotive repair field. In the early 2000s, an opportunity arose that would change the course of his career: he was offered the chance to work on boats at a marine dealership in Reno, Nevada. Though new to the marine industry at the time, Glen quickly found that working on boats was a perfect fit.

From that point forward, the marine industry became his home. Glen spent years developing his skills as a marine technician, gaining extensive experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, engines, and onboard technology. When the economic downturn of 2008 hit, Glen made the decision to return to Washington to be closer to family, a choice rooted in the same values that shaped him growing up. Back in the Tri-Cities, Glen continued his marine career, spending 16 years with a large local dealership where he built deep technical knowledge and a reputation for reliability and integrity. In 2025, he joined Bretz RV & Marine, drawn by the opportunity to help grow the marine side of the business and be part of a company that values teamwork, family, and long-term vision.

Since joining Bretz, Glen has become a key part of the marine operation, supporting both the Pasco and Liberty Lake locations. He holds certifications with Mercury and Yamaha and has extensive training and hands-on experience with Honda Marine, Volvo Penta, and many other marine systems. With more than two decades in the industry, Glen brings a depth of experience that customers can trust. Outside of work, Glen is deeply family-oriented. He and his wife, Loranda, have been together since 2009 and married in 2016. Together, they’ve built a life centered on family, commitment, and shared values. For Glen, working at Bretz RV & Marine isn’t just about fixing boats. It’s about being part of a team, serving customers with honesty, and contributing to something that’s being built for the long term.
